Manage Basic, Online, and Offline Survey Settings in Zonka Feedback to control survey behavior, branding, and response collection.

The Survey Settings allow you to configure how your surveys behave both online and offline. From general controls to advanced offline kiosk options and online tracking, these settings help you optimize your survey experience for respondents.

Survey Settings include:

  • Basic Settings – General survey-level controls

  • Offline Survey Settings – Options for kiosk, face-to-face, and mobile surveys

  • Online Survey Settings – Options for web, email, and link-based surveys

How to access Survey Settings in Zonka Feedback

To access and update survey settings:

  1. Navigate to the Survey Hub from the left sidebar.

  2. On the Survey Table page, click the survey you want to configure.

  3. Select the Build option at the top to open the Survey Builder.

  4. In the Survey Builder, click the βš™οΈ Gear icon on the top-right corner to open Survey Settings.


Basic Settings

These settings apply to all surveys and help you control survey flow, branding, and response behavior.

  • Survey Name – Rename or update your survey title.

  • Survey Language – Choose a default language for the survey.

  • Welcome Screen & Thank You Screen – Enable, disable, or customize introductory and closing messages.

  • Partial Responses – Allow saving incomplete surveys for later continuation.

  • Survey Throttling – Control how often a respondent can take the survey to prevent over-surveying.

  • Close Date – Set an automatic end date for survey collection.

  • Anonymity Control – Run anonymous surveys or identify respondents.

  • Branding Options – Add logos, adjust colors, or apply survey themes.


Offline Survey Settings

These settings are useful for kiosk surveys, face-to-face feedback, or field surveys taken without internet connectivity.

  • Kiosk Mode – Enable auto-restart after each submission to prepare for the next respondent.

  • Restart Timer – Set a time delay before the survey reloads for the next respondent.

  • Password Protection – Secure the survey with a password to restrict unauthorized access.

  • Offline Response Collection – Collect responses offline and sync when internet is available.

  • Device Settings – Manage survey devices, track usage, and logs.


Online Survey Settings

These settings are designed for surveys shared via web links, email, or embedded forms.

  • Anonymous vs Identified Responses – Choose whether to track respondent identity.

  • Tracking & Metadata – Capture details such as device, browser, location, and channel.

  • Custom Domains – Use a white-labeled survey URL for branding.

  • Close Date & Expiry Rules – Automatically stop collecting responses after a set date.

  • Survey Throttling – Prevent multiple submissions from the same respondent.

  • Embed & Display Options – Control how surveys appear when embedded in websites, apps, or emails.

Yes, Zonka Feedback provides separate controls for offline surveys and online surveys.

Does changing settings affect existing responses?
No, changes only affect new responses going forward.

Can I duplicate survey settings to another survey?
Yes, if you copy a survey, its settings are also copied and can be edited as needed.
