One best way to collect true and honest feedback is by conducting surveys that are anonymous.

Zonka Feedback allows you to track all the SMSes that are getting triggered, however, you can now collect feedbacks and responses anonymously.

The Anonymous Responses option allows you to choose whether or not to track and store identifiable respondent information from the survey results.

How to set up Anonymous SMS surveys?

SMS Invitations are designed in a way to track your respondents, your survey results will include the Tracking ID of each respondent by default. In addition to this, the first name, last name, custom data about your contacts are tracked.

To Turn on the Anonymous Responses settings:

  1. Navigate to Manage > Surveys from the left sidebar.

  2. Choose the specific survey you would like to collect responses anonymously.

  3. After selecting your survey, click on Distribute from the top navigation.

  4. Choose SMS > Respondent Tracking: Enabled from the extreme bottom of the screen.

  5. From the pop-over, Toggle OFF the 'Enable Respondent tracking for SMS'

  6. Click on Update once done.

Now that we have Turned Off - SMS Respondent Tracking, This implies that,

  • The tracking ID will not be appended in the survey hyperlink shared via SMS Surveys.

  • No new contacts will be created once a survey is filled. in the contacts section.

πŸ“ŒNote - If you need your survey responses to be anonymous, you must TURN ON or Disable the Respondent Tracking before you distribute your survey.

Please note that It’s not possible to make responses anonymous once you’ve already collected responses.

To ensure your survey remains 100% anonymous:

  • Do not include any questions that ask the respondent identifying details or contact details like Name, Email address, Mobile number.

  • Be transparent about why you are collecting the data and how it will be used.
