Integrate JIRA with Zonka Feedback

Zonka Feedback’s JIRA integration enables you to create an issue automatically on JIRA after receiving a response against a Survey. It also enables a user to synchronise issue status with connected responses in Zonka Feedback.

With JIRA and Zonka Feedback you can:

  • Add new issue in Jira based on Survey Responses

  • Create conditional triggers for creating issues in Jira.

  • Synchronise issue status with Response.

  • What do you need for this integration?

  • A Zonka Feedback Account - Any Plan except Free Plan

  • A Jira Account - Any Paid Plan

  • Setting up the JIRA Integration with Zonka Feedback

  • Choose a Survey from survey list view and head to the Integrations tab from the top navigation.

  • Click on 'Connect' in JIRA

Creating a Jira Issue automatically

With the JIRA and Zonka Feedback Integration, you can automate creating a JIRA issue based on rules set against a trigger, created on JIRA. This is quite convenient as it eliminates the need for you to create issue for your team and monitor for fresh survey responses on the Zonka Feedback platform.

How to automate adding Issues to Jira?

  • Once you have Connected your JIRA Account to your Zonka Feedback Account, click on "Add Trigger”

  • Following page should open:

  • You need to fill the below mentioned fields for creating a Trigger:

  • Trigger Name: Name of trigger being created

  • Trigger Description: Description of Trigger being created

  • Site: Name of Site against which project is being assigned. This should be same as Site being selected from drop down while Jira authentication on page.

  • Project: Name of Project against which issue is being assigned

  • Tittle: Name of Survey to be selected from drop down

  • Description:

  • Complete Response: It represents that all the responses will be shown in the JIRA issue, which will be created after submitting the responses.

  • Specific Question: It represents the filter for a Particular Question. Example: User can select any Question from that particular Survey. If a user selects a Question i.e. ‘Name of employee’, then JIRA will display the Answer of that Question only and remaining Answers will be displayed on the Zonka feedback portal. (Reference: Below image)

  • Issue Type: Users can select any issue type from the drop down

  • Priority: Users can select the Priority of issue from the drop down.

  • Reporter: This refers to the User who has created the issue over JIRA and is also considered as the owner of the issue

  • Attachment:

  • You can create a conditional trigger based on your requirement for a particular survey.

  • After creation of a Trigger, you can respond to that particular survey and a ticket will be created automatically if the condition of that response matches with the conditional trigger.

Syncing Issue Status with Response

  • You can also synchronise issue status with corresponding response in Zonka Feedback by clicking on the toggle button.

Removing Jira integration

  • The Jira integration can be removed by clicking on Text link i.e. “Remove Integration” as shown in the following figure.

  • A notification displaying the below text will be displayed.

“JIRA Integration removed successfully”
